Make your own Pore Strip!

I know I have been MIA (missing in action) for so long. I was mad upset cuz ma camera fell on the zoom lens and now ma cam not working :( I use my camera to take pics and then post them on the net and now ma camera is all gone. Ne ways life goes on! For all who don't know I'm a youtube addict, I can spend all day watching videos on there. To me its like cable tv, which I don't have and I can't keep going into Island Grill Restaurant just to watch their cable, can I now? Lol, I'm a hoot I know that :) I learned to make a great product on youtube once again!
Down to business! Everyone should know the Biore Pore Strips, if you don't, there is a picture below. It's a really great product, but the cost is a little bit up there and you know me, if I can make it - I'm not buying it.

I was writing this blog, pressed the wrong key and alakazam, the thing disappeared. Too early in the morning to be upset, so I'll save that for later, lol. Ok back on track! I'm an improviser that doesn't follow instructions well. Michelle did her mixture with 1% milk and unflavored gelatine(unflavored jello mix), I did my mixture with milk powdered milk and unflavored gelatine (though I do recommend u getting the 1% milk). I wasn't gonna buy an entire box of milk to make a tiny mixture for ma nose and I went to like 4 supermarkets and I couldn't find the small box of milk. She microwaved her mixture, my microwaved passed away last year, rest his poor soul, lol. I had no choice but to heat my mixture on the stove. She applied the mixture to her nose with a makeup brush. I applied the mixture to ma entire face (cuz I used way too much in all my excitement), with ma fingers, wasn't gonna put ma make up brush in that mixture , no way Jose! It came out fabulous, well not exactly, when I put it on ma face and allowed it to dry and then peeled it off, it was all gross fest from there. The mixture most definitely worked! I didn't know so many gross things were in ma pores, it pulled out black heads, white heads, alien heads, lol ok joking about the latter. I think you guys should definitely try this. A picture of the gelatine pack I used is below, bought it at Mega Mart.
This cost me less than JMD $200

MANEATER BODY WASH!!!

So ma friend Lee and I went grocery shopping this week at MegaMart in Montego Bay (usu. don't shop there, I am a whole sale shopper, I believe in more products for ma money). Any who, I have been on a good body wash search for a while, but, I really don't want to spend like tons of money on soap. Last month, I caved in to my cheap side and I bought this no name body wash cuz the bottle was so huge and the price tag was really cheap. Well really cheap, turned into really awful :( I had to use so much of the product when I'm in the shower, it turned out to be a waste. So now we were in the beauty care isle that had all the lovelies I liked and that I'm timid to buy, cuz Ja can be ridunkilously expensive. So Lee and I were looking at the regular suspects, you know, Dove and Softsoap. Then I saw the prices and I was like nah uh and shaking ma head. I am a bargain hunter and I just can't commit to these soap prices - no apologies!

So one of the ever nice Megamart employees of the male kind, was listening to my plight. He first handed me a Dove body wash, which is hands down 1 of my faves, but, I quickly noted the price to him and gave him back the product. He said to me something very important, which was very true, kinda can't remember his exact words. It was something along the lines of, if its cheap in price, its gonna be cheap in product, well in body washes. He then handed me The Maneater, lol, well that's what I call it. The product was Axe Dark Temptation.

Yes! I know I am a girl, but, Lee recommended it too, so I was gonna give it a try. Can I tell you, the smell was EXHILARATING! It smells quite loud, if you like quiet scents, this is not for you. When I was through with my shower the enter bathroom smelled like a sexy man, lol ( I know that it means I smelled like a sexy man too). I couldn't believe the product was so good, so I picked up the bottle and started to read the back panel of it, to my surprise it was pure comedy. It said:
The scent of Axe Dark Temptation is as irresistible as chocolate. Use Dark Temptation in every shower and she'll turn into a maneater...
Then it had one pic with a guy showering with Axe Dark Temptation and then one other pic with a girl approaching him. Then under the pic it says in bold letters, 'UNLIMITED FEMALE ATTENTION.'

At this point I was cracking up, talk about selling SEX! Then I was like to myself, is it safe for me to go outside? I am a girl and  I really don't want unlimited female attention, so I was kinda concerned at that moment. All in all, I stayed in yesterday, lol. Honestly, I did, but, of course not for that reason, but for sure check it out, the product has 12 Fl Oz and I copped it for under $400. Pretty decent in my book, but careful of the maneating girls, lol.

Lovely Toes, Nail Polishes and Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Thought this pic was hilaire so I dropped it in here :)

Once upon a time, long ago, I didn't like my feet or my toes, cuz my feet were so long and my toes were just taller than regular. I have really slender feet and I just felt weird cuz they didn't look normal to me :( When I wore nail polish people would always compliment me on how lovely my toes looked, I always felt they were secretly teasing me though. Anywho, since I am a do it myself kinda girl, I started to polish my own nails and come up with designs. During the nail polishing practice sessions I started to connect with my feet (I know that sounds crazeee), and I started to take care of them and buy special products to make them look more attractive and cared for. Now, I love my really slender feet and their long toes :) I am 5'10 and I wear size 10 shoes, so I think I have the right size feet for my body. I think I would look really weird being soooooo tall and then having tiny feet. No thanks!
Okay so I LOVE nail polish. I love vibrant and cool colours and I love to mix and match them up. I recently started over my nail polish collection cuz I gave away my old collection to my room mate. I usually shop around testing different brands of nail polish, but since I started over my collection I have only bought Jordana. I love Jordana nail polishes. When I was younger I would go for the sparkly, shiny, glittery nail polish now I avoid them at all cost. Don't know why.

So this evening I painted my nails with Tangy and Orangesicle and then topped it off with Jordana clear finishing coat.

Yea, I know its not the best pic, but hey :)

This is my relatively new collection of Jordana nail polishes which you can get at almost any pharmacy in Jamaica.

from l-r, Purple Dynamite, Strawberry Marmalade, Pink Lemonade, Pink Romance,Orange Rush, Mellow Yellow, Mint Candy, Boy O Boy and Chiffon.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil
So since I started eating all nutritiously healthy, I started purchasing healthier foods of course. I bought myself some extra virgin olive oil and started cooking with it, to be honest, I don't fancy the flavor of it. Any how I found that this oil has uses out side of the kitchen :) Last Monday evening, when I came home my feet were killing me, I went dancing like 2 days before and if you know anything about Ms. Nateisha Ann Campbell, is that she doesn't dance! Well, I do, but I can't follow the rhythm so I don't, lol (sorry I missed out on that black gene I was suppose to get). So cuz of new extra-curricular activities my feet were Killing Me! So I decided to give my feet a pedicure and a good massage. I don't know why I did this, but, I went to the kitchen and grabbed the olive oil and poured some into the water. Can I tell you that was one of the best pedi's I ever had. I also used my Loreal Extofonic Scrub, which is simply Amazing (in a high pitched voice of course). I massaged my feet in to heaven, it was so good I tipped myself (okay, just kidding I didn't, but, if I had change I probably would, lol).

Ybarra Extra Virgin Olive Oil I used.

Loreal Extofonic Exfoliator Scrub I spoke about above

One Christmas, I went to New York to spend the holidays with my family. Boy o Boy, my skin didn't like the adventure at all. My skin was at its worse, itchy, dry, flaky, just gross. I used Nivea body cream, but, that didn't help for long, until I discovered Loreal Extofonic Scrub. My golly, I was in love, after my first use my skin was rejuvenated, happy and young again. Any new born baby would have been jealous of my skin, can you say smooth and supple? Well baby, it was smooth, supple and bea-u-ti-ful! When I came back to Jamaica, I looked for it everywhere, thank you Father for Anne Martin (I would say its an uptown beauty store we have in Jamaica), they were the only store to carry it. Since my discovery I always make sure I have that product in my beauty stash.

Until next time, lata,.
