Missing in Action

I am ultimately one of the worst bloggers of all time -I know. Still trying this blogging thing- I hope I make it in this blogger world. I am not the one to be blamed though. Recently I visited this computer store to get a charger for ma laptop and the silly sales clerk placed the wrong charger in my laptop and all hell broke loose. My poor little Toshiba laptop began to smoke quickly- I was horrified. I came in for an universal charger and got my laptop destroyed instead. To top that all off, I stayed in the computer store for almost 8 hours to get the situation rectified. I guess they thought I was just playing as they did nothing to fix the situation. I had much needed work to complete, so the manager of the computer store had authorized her employees to upload my files onto a functioning laptop and sign it up as a loaner until they could fix my situation which they caused. Guess what they did instead? They gave me a laptop that wasn't working at all. So when I got home, guess what I did? I called a lawyer, visited the computer store the following day with a policeman and called consumer affairs, the matter was resolved very quickly after that. The very next day I received a brand new laptop with better specs, than my own. On this little island of Jamaica, if you are not smart people will quickly take advantage of you. I wish I didn't have to go through all of that, as it could have easily been resolved if the company had acted professionally, but, instead they preferred to play games. Tish is not one to mess with, so don't even try. God has blessed me with a brain -so I'm gonna use it.

My Crochet Treasures

This is one is recent

Ok, by now you all shoud know that I'm a once a week blogger. Before I was thinking I'm lazy, but, now I do not think that is exactly true. I'm just not used to the blogger world as yet. Not to worry I'm getting there, slowly but, surely. In life everything takes time (that is me trying to comfort myself- lol). So what am I going to present to you guys today? I was thinking I could get into some little Tishelle Dzine Stuff, since, I havent as yet.
I love hats, caps anything like that. I will usually buy a couple when I see peddlers on the streets parading with them. I started crocheting in 2007, when my friend showed me how to make a chain (I know crochet language, right?). Since then, every time people find out that I can crochet they have been asking me to make them hats, but, I didn't know how. You see with crochet there are rules that you can use to make certain styles and certain things. However, I only knew the basics. I always wanted to make hats though, but, that's not where I really started. After my friend showed me a few things, a first made a bag- I LOVED IT. I then moved onto swim suits, which I LOVED MORE. Then I went back to bags and now I finally can make hats. I was on this long bus journey from Montego Bay ( where I live) to Kingston ( the capital of Jamaica)- which took a complete 4 hours. I never travel without crochet threads and a needle, the journey was major long, so I set out on this trial and error thing with trying to make this hat. At the end of my 4 hour trip - I had my first handmade hat by Moi, all in between a few naps on the bus. I was so proud. Let me show u all some of my crochet treasures.

This is my friend that showed me how to crochet- She made the swimsuit that she has on.
I made the top I have on in this picture, but, I purchased the bottom.

I absolutely adore cushions

Big, small, round, square, piped, frilled, simple, extravagant- I love all variations of cushions. I love the idea that they are more than eye candy- you can actually use them. So I said I would post a few that I have done for clients and others I just did because I had some time on my hand.

I absolutely love colours and textures, so you will always see me mixing the two.

Hey - I started this blog a few weeks ago to really tell you about myself and my designs, but, got a little lazy on the way.
Well, I am from the islands, Jamaica to be specific. I am a Decorator that specializes in Interior Decor for residential and commercial units. I operate an Interior Decorating Business along with my uncle, Carlos Samuels called Decorators Services here in Jamaica.
When, I'm not in the office or on the road doing installations I like to dabble in a little design, handbags and purses to be specific.
Now the name Tishelle Dzines- I had two friends that said if I had a baby Tishelle would be a nice name, since everyone calls me Tish. I loved the name Tishelle and since I always liked to make little stuff, my designs would be my baby -so I called it Tishelle Dzines. The picture below is of Decorators Services. The Gentleman in the picture is of my Grandfather, he is not here any longer, but, he remains in my heart. He was also an Interior Decorator and he always did a fabulous job.

Different Faces of Tish

Well, I am back again - this time to share some pics of moi.
I was looking at myself and thinking that your hair can either make you or break you. I look ok with long hair and I look ok with short hair but the guys always think that hair belongs on a girls head. I beg to differ in that, if I want it short I will have it short whether they like it or not.

A little happy

I finally did it! I have finally started my blog and I'm feeling a little happy about it. I wanted to do this for a couple of months now and kept on wondering if I really had the time to commit to a blog. Well, I guess I do have the time. I spend a lot of time on the internet on a daily basis, so why not do something that I might just enjoy.
It's Saturday night here in Jamaica, and everyone in the house has gone to bed except me. I do feel like I could also retire, but, hey, why not blog a little first. I spent most of my day trying to find a blog template that I liked, but, there were just too many so I went ahead and chose this one, very basic and clean. I think I did a good job, except, for the fact that I can't change the Spanish labels on the bottom of the template- I guess I can save that for tomorrow. I am happy to say that I'm in the Bloggers' World and I hope I'll do a good job.
