I have been MIA for about a week and I'm at home in bed today, so I figured I should catch up on my blogging :) I caught the cold and I feel down and out, so let me do something that doesn't require tons of energy.
Ok, I have told you that I have become a Youtube watching junkie, especially since I am curious about this beauty makeup world I missed out on during my teenage years. I found this Youtuber by the name of Kandee Johnson, she has an awesome personality I must add. Anyhow, I was watching one of her videos 2 months ago and she was talking about whiter teeth and I so got caught up in the video cuz of course who doesn't want a brighter smile. Check her out in the video below.
People always compliment me on my smile and the color of my teeth, so with that I take pride in them. I brush my teeth once a month with baking soda (outside of that I brush with regular fluoride toothpaste) and instead of using regular mouth wash I gargle with the a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water. Don't worry I asked my dentist if it was cool to do say and he said its fine. I hope he's right :) Any how, when I saw Kandee's video I tried to get my hands on the whitening gel she mentioned. I went to like 5 pharmacies in Montego Bay (where I live) and the last pharmacy had it. I was soooooooooo overjoyed. Then for the mouth guards I went to Western Sports at Baywest Shopping Center, also in Montego Bay. In her video, if you watched it, she tells you how to turn the mouth guards into teeth molds by placing them in water in a bowl in the microwave. My microwave got busted last year and since then I'm microwave-less, so I just put some water in a small pot on the stove and followed the rest of her instructions from there. I used the teeth molds and the teeth whitening gel for about a week and a half and I was pleased with the results. If you intend to try it and actually do, let me know the outcome please.
The Teeth Whitening Gel I bought.
The Mouth Guard- I bought 2 packs, 1 for ma upper teeth and 1 for ma lower teeth
The Mouth Guards I turned into Teeth Molds
Lata,
Tish :)
P.S.
Have fun getting a whiter, brighter smile!

Pink Hatred not Anymore- Plus more
Ok, so I am not the typical girl and I knew this from I was a child. I had all the barbie dolls you could think of. I had display barbies and play time barbies that I would dismantle one minute and then the next sew the most beautiful ball room gowns for (yes, even as a child I sewed). Other times, I wouldn't even look at my dolls, I would play with my trucks and my cars; its almost like I had a mini garage. Growing up I had the perfect princess room, it was almost like a show window (that's what happens when your parent is an interior decorator). Think of loads of pink in every tone and shade, think of ruffles and lace, but, tastefully. My room was just amazingly beautiful. I never had simple flat bed linens, but lovely quilted top bed spreads with elegant dust ruffles and quilted shams and neck rolls to match. Everything had their own place, each doll, each teddy bear, each car was positioned in their very own spot. I think someone had told me pink is for girls and blue is for boys and in my head it didn't make sense that pink was forced up on us, so I rebelled. Plus, due to the high volumes of pink I was introduced to as a child, I ended up disliking pink. I didn't like pink food, pink, candy, pink clothes, pink anything! Couple years back, I looked at the situation of my pink hatred and noted that pink was a really nice color, depending on the shade of course.
If you have read my blog before I am sure I mentioned I grew up with my grandpa and he believed strongly in raising a young lady not just a child. I was taught all the things a girl should know except cooking, he feared I would get burnt by a pot on the stove so he left out that skill. However, I did learn to cook in college, through trial and error. Often times I would call home and ask GP (that's what I would call grampa) how to cook something and he would tell me in detail as he was a fabulous cook at home. Anywho, being that it was GP and I, he taught me the necessities of being a lady. He always said make sure you look your best when you step out, as you never know if you will be meeting your future husband. I took that as a very important lesson, so even if I was going to the corner store on foot, I would make sure I look assembled. My friends always laughed saying you are just going to the shop to buy some sugar (which was literally down the road from my apartment), why do you need to put on eyeliner and change the clothes you had on in the house? I felt that it was important to look my best, well when I was in college. Now I have sorta slacked off. I dress up depending on my mood, or where I am going, not saying I look shabby on the other days, I just don't put out so much effort as before. Recently, I have been out more often that regular and I have been turning some heads. So, I figured its best to put more effort into dressing up when going out than looking the same all the time. Not saying you can't look nice all the time, just don't look the same everyday. I should have mentioned that these few times I have been out, I had been wearing Elise:)
Let me introduce you to Elise.
She is both the hair and the face, but when I go out I wear the hair, lol. I got Elise, in New York, last Thanks giving and I was so happy to get her. I bought the hair at a local beauty supply store, here in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I made the wig; I don't like spending my money if I know I can save it. If you wanna know how to make wigs you can watch Ms. Chanda on Youtube below. She is awesome!
So I make my own wigs and I wear them (my boyfriend hates wigs, but, loves long hair, well naturally long hair). I am not a constant wig wearer, cuz I like change and wigs make you hot especially if you live in Jamaica. My hair is natural now and sometimes I braid it or wear it natural while other times I wear a wig. With everything you have to find balance, plus you got to let your hair breathe, can't be covering it up all the time. If it was a few years ago, you wouldn't catch me in a wig, I thought only old people wear wigs. Now I have been enlightened and tables have turned. So with that I will say, don't mock it until you have tried it.
Until next time- lata,
Tish

Products I'm LOOOOVIN
Product review time Yaay!
This morning I looked in the mirror and I noticed that ma acne marks on ma cheeks were like almost gone, they are fading away. I could hardly believe it. Last year Christmas, a photographer friend of mine took some real cool shots of me and I loved them, well most of them. The ones I didn't fancy were the ones that showed up ma acne marks on ma cheeks, which honestly I didn't know were so obvious until the pictures. So I got like super conscious and I started to take really good care of ma face. So ma b/f and I went shopping and he got me some good skincare products.
I started using Aveeno Positively Radiant Cleanser and I always cleanse twice. So this baby works well for me :)
I had tried out Loreal 360 Clean 1st, but, when it was finished it was like ridiculously hard to get that's why I had copped the Aveeno. I loved the Loreal 360 Clean. I loved the lather and the little exfoliating pad it came with. The Aveeno is more soothing and you have to cleanse twice in order to get a lather build up.
So the picture above is the Plug -In I got. What I love about it, is that it has different scent levels, starting from 1 going up to 5. If I don't want my room to smell all powerfully clean I can put it on 1 and if I want a blast of freshness I can put it on 5. This would be a great product to get for a laundry room, or any room that you want to just freshen up with a new scent.
The Clean Linen - is just amazingly clean. I had my friend over this weekend and when she came in, she was like, someone just cleaned, I was like nope its Glade. If I had lied and said yes, she would totally have believed me, because the house smelled so great.
I got this in the supermarket, I am lovin it and I am so gonna go out and get some more. Its called Vermicelli, its a type of Rice Noodle. I think its a Chinese product. I love Chinese food. It was easy to cook, only took 3 minutes and it tasted delish.
So those are the products I'm feeling right now.
Lata until next time, walk good.

I was in the supermarket with my b/f week before last and we were walking through the cleaning isle when I saw some really cool Glade products and I decided to pick up one of the Glade Plug- In Fan Warmers. OMG! I am so happy I did, everyday I come home to an awesome smelling apartment, not that my apartment smelled badly before. Any who, I picked up Linen Clean Scent- Awesome Product. So I am not into really loud scents, I like calm, cool, refreshing scents, nothing that will get my sinus twisted in a bunch.
